Any one sailed a First211

I am thinking of buying a first 211 however I cant find any reviews about it. Any one know what there like to sail, how well they are built etc..

I dont know anything about the 211 but I suggest you try the Beneteau Owners Club as they may be able to give you some advice...

Hello Keef,

I own one & find it sails very well on most points - certainly better than anything in its size. Obviously in heavier weather it's large rig & short lwl become more of an issue. I haven't had any problems with the build quality and have grounded a fair few times, though there was a discussion recently on this forum about cracks in the hull/deck join at the transom. Looked fairly minor, though I haven't inspected mine yet!

You may also want to check out groups.yahoo.com/group/beneteau_first210211club for discussions and www.first210.org for old newsletters, though that seems to down right now. Also the designers site www.finot.com gives polars.
