I first visited here in 1963 as a young lad on a sailing yacht out of the Clyde called "Islay". In 1963 the school house was intact and even the desks were in place. I returned a couple of years ago and took these two photos of the schoolhouse. One dates to about 1910 when the island was inhabited and is a photo of a photo and the other is 2018. The Island is well worth a visit and if you discover the remains of a certain old cottage you can look on the inside walls at an interesting history of life on the island by one of it's residents before it was abandoned in the 1920's. ........Before I say where it is, I wonder if anyone knows where it is?

Yes there is a North Rona N59 08, W005 50. Ish
Never been but gather the harbour is somewhat less commodious that that on S Rona

edited to say I get what you mean Dunedin, both are marked simply Rona!

Passed between Sula Sgeir and Rona on passage to Faeroes. Both times at night but able to pick out lights.

Went there 3 years ago. I agree no decent landing or anchoring. We got ashore with a scramble over rocks. Used to be occupied, but rats got ashore and ate their food so they all starved.
