L.eSomething interesting we noticed-the Cardinal Marker on the West breakwater is high and dry, 20 metres from the end!
Yeah, not uncommon with Spanish breakwater marks. Hardly ever right on the end!

I' was always wary of depths shown around the Costa Marinas. All pr9ne to silting up. Same with the ones on the Moroccan coast south of Ceuta.

Are club nautico marinas run independently, or is there one email to check on availability like our marina groups?
Usually the infrastructure is owned by the local government who then lease out a concession. The puerto deportivos are usually run on a more commercial basis and the club náuticos are a kind of club with paid membership and tend to have a more sporting bent.

The essential difference is that a CN will likely require membership which can be pricey in Spain,but you'll probably get it back in mooring fees.

They're run as separate businesses although some do appear to have shared management they don't let it improve efficiency or anything like that.
