After a sleepless night I dragged the engines down to the harbour on their trollies and the man with the Hiab came, lifted them up, and gently put them back into the boat! Five and a half months of worry and work, fitting new gear-boxes and making new engine beds, and they just went in perfectly on the new engine mountings. Of course all I've got to do now is connect up several miles of wiring and join all the vital bits back together, but it looks like I'll get the job done ahead of schedule now.

Are you still thinking of selling or do the reconditioned/new engines and gearboxes mean Hermes is here to stay?
