I've just been reading Priddy on spirit-of-cardiff.com ,which prompted a few thoughts of my own.

As skipper and "boss" (?) , I always take every opportunity to stab anyone in the back just as soon as they've left the boat. Even if I invite them along, and even if I cock it up massively. Just because I drive into things, or don't have any spares to fix things, for example, that doesn't mean that they can complain for chrissakes! After all, I'm the blimmin skipper!

For example, that Coliholic came on our boat, and then he actually had the nerve to announce that he was going to look around the town on his own! And whinge a bit about the rain! I never trusted him after that. At every oportunity he was just bound to leave. Soon enough he flamin well did! And very selfishly took his camera AND all his money with him! What a total git, I think you'll all agree. It has entirely spoilt my summer trip, and I blame him entirely. Despite the fact that I was responsible for buying the boat, the navigating, the provisioning, the financing and everything else.

Anyway, the boat is now in Cannes, and I'm a bit too skint to get it back to Cardiff at a slightly slower average speed than a sailing boat. So, has anyone got a few quid to help me buy a few more rounds at Raffles? Come on everyone, dig deep!

Well if you cant afford to get it to Cardiff then sack the guy who drives it and drive it back yourself ;-) That should save a few quid. Or promote it a bit more on this web site and see if there are any takers for he charter <CG>

Ooh and I thought I was being really diplonatic in "disappearing for a walk" when said skipper got a bit of a strop on too. And had to take wallet in case skipper decided strop was sooo massive that he was going to sod off on boat leaving me stranded.

Tee Hee.

Oh and I'll chip in with a couple of gallons to get it to cardiff.

What you expect. Go with tight arse, get a tight arse. If you got to go play with the big boys, you got to take the big knocks. and put up with the big knockers
