"She originally served as a New Zealand navy patrol vessel before being converted into a yacht by Fitzroy Yachts in 2011. She was last refitted in 2012."The NZ Navy live in some style.

Must have been a crapp job in 2011 if she had to be refitted again one year later."She originally served as a New Zealand navy patrol vessel before being converted into a yacht by Fitzroy Yachts in 2011. She was last refitted in 2012."
Probably a similar thing to people ripping brand new kitchens out of new (to them) houses - because they fancy a different decor ?Must have been a crapp job in 2011 if she had to be refitted again one year later.

I had a 300m² house with 4 en-suite bedrooms for sale last year. It need some TLC and was priced accordingly. Lots of viewings but no takers. I spent around €20k sprucing it up a bit and put it back on the market at €50 higher price. Sold at the asking price within a week to a couple who had viewed it prior to work and declined to make an offer. They then proceeded to rip out most of the work we had done and spend plenty before moving in.Probably a similar thing to people ripping brand new kitchens out of new (to them) houses - because they fancy a different decor ?
It was a bit more than just a quick refit. This is quoted from the sale brochure in post #2."She originally served as a New Zealand navy patrol vessel before being converted into a yacht by Fitzroy Yachts in 2011. She was last refitted in 2012."
I know what a Fulmar is, the rest of what you wrote went straight over my baldy head. Maybe you could answer in £, $, € or another currency for the benefit of this poor ignorant Paddy ?Just think of it in terms of how many Fulmars you could have for that one . I believe it was a ship extension like that which caused the demise of Hal attic at port Chester. Not an easy job to bolt on an extension .
It was just that installing an extension on a ship as advertised on the subject vessel can lead to all sorts of structural issues I believe so any bid might be impacted by quality of the works mentioned at post #10 I’m not saying anything wrong with this one but it could be a liability so the price is accordingly dependent on such matters.
What sort of speed and range would something like this do? Twin 375 hp engines doesn't sound like a lot of grunt to move it.
