£10k - Dayboat - Options?

We spend our holidays on the Scillies, currently get out there for 6 weeks in the year, but a new job means that could increase significantly.

Currently hiring whever we are out there, but I'm toying with the idea of buying something to keep out there for our use only.

I can justify upto £10k, boat will be used for general pottering around the islands, blasts out to Bishop Rock lighthouse etc. Not into fishing and there will only ever be the 2 of us that will be onboard. Just looking for a fun Dayboat that we can have some fun on, and that can handle the waters.

What would you guys recommend?

I'd be looking at a decent Dell Quay Dory with a nice console, recent 2stroke big engine and Bimini.
Great for day running, beaching and blasting around in and pretty unsinkable.

I would buy a RIB - you'll get a 6m Ribeye for that sort of money or an older Ribcraft.

£10k is probably the limit, as it'll only get used 7/8 weeks of the year, and will be stored on the islands the rest of the time.

Just looking for something fun, for zipping around the islands for 2 people.
