I intend to put my boat up for sale shortly and would like to get some advice.
At the moment she is ashore at the ABP marina in Lowestoft awaiting antifouling. question is should I try to sell her ashore or launch her (lift and mooring is paid for).
I have the feeling that any prospective buyer...
I have to move my Snapdragon 747 from Dartmouth to Lowestoft next month.
Any ideas who to use?
We could share the cost if there is anyone moving from East Anglia to Devon/Cornwall in February/early March.

I shall probably be moving from Devon to South Norfolk/North Suffolk.
Can anyone tell me about the availability of moorings/marinas (if there are any) between say Thorpeness and Great Yarmouth. It all appears a bit devoid of anywhere to keep a sailing boat, someone did say that Walberswick was...
Dont sand it, the dust from antifouling is DANGEROUS, if the existing coating is in reasonable condition just paint new AF over it. I always use 2 coats (I know it means more backache) but this lasts about 10-12 months.
If the existing AF is cracked and flaking I would recommend employing one...
I have an SX35 it works very well interfaced to a Garmin GPS no complaints except the Emergecy call button seems too small.

Why run the engine? My boat is in the water 11 months of the year and I never run the engine except when necessary.
If you took your boat out in the winter you would not be able to run the engine ashore anyway and from an engine point of view there`s no difference if its ashore or afloat...
Sorry I misread your posting, to tighten the inlet turn it anti clockwise viewed from the front of the toilet. Try some teflon tape on the threads or try tightening the large nut which holds the whole thing to the toilet pan. Take care you do not over tighten and strip the threads.
Good luck

I just serviced my toilet pump (an old one) and if your Jabsco is the same as mine the rubber washer you mention is in fact the "joker valve" this has a flange on it which is sandwitched between the body of the pump and the "discharge elbow" this in turn is held in place with two screws thru a...
Mick,
Try www.aalco.co.uk or try your local electrical wholesaler they will have copper strip that is used for earth bonding and for lightning arrestors.
Good luck

I have an old type manual toilet (29090-0000) I recently stripped the pump for service, I found that the base valve gasket needed replacement so obtained a major service kit.
The original part has a large brass weight, however, the part in the kit has only a thick rubber moulding.
Does anyone...
I have found that the U bolt for the attachment of the backstay on my Snapdragon 747 has failed. There seems to be no access to replace this fitting. Anybody had this problem and found a solution?
Thanks
