If you have a good knowledge yourself I would say the money for a survey is peace of mind. Your not going to instruct it until you are happy there is nothing wrong, £500 then could save you a few quid but in the most part for a small boat the surveyor will not be able to access a lot of what you...
Be interesting to see a contract that said that. Most contracts only offer a space within the marina of a certain size and retain the right to move you to another berth of the same size in a different position should they choose to do so. If the contract was worded as such you would only have...
Our Marina only offers annual agreements paid in advance. If they are able to re-let a berth that you have vacated they will refund the amount of money they can raise from it. To me that would seem very fare, especially as you do not pay for a mooring, purely a space up to the length that you...
Watching with interest, being a third boat Sealine owner I am used to lots being crammed in. Have to say one of the benefits to moving to the F43 is gaining the length and weight to improve the overall sea keeping when compared to the fit everything you can into the smallest space possible...
Croatia insists that all it's boats have a T2L which lists VAT Status. On inquiry to HMRC this is not acceptable as VAT Paid status in their eyes. As the boat is coming back to the UK then it is the HMRC that needs to be satisfied as far as I can see
Sounds exciting, permanent 8 berth with full size beds, standing room in cabins and double the size elsewhere. assuming the galley isn't an outside BBQ it sounds a winner.
Single engine will be kill or cure and certainly splits the market and your customer base. Not for me personally but plenty...
bought a second hand suspension fork for a 290 dp a couple of years ago. It was a few days late arriving but apparently that was because it needed to be inspected and refurbished. Turned up rough painted with a bit of corrosion that made seating a bit iffy and the old bearings (nylon type shims)...
Sorry to hear about this but it does sound standard service from Seaside Donkey, Refurb = rough paint, quality control inspection = rough paint.
I'm sure an appeal for character witnesses will provide plenty of ammunition should you need it.
That is a 330 statesman at 310 statesman money and it has the right AD41 engines.
Yes they can be a little tippy and not keen on going in a straight line but we took our 310 everywhere and were regularly out when much bigger stuff was holed up, ran her for 8 years and she coped with everything...
I know you are not supposed to but there are no checks whatsoever on SSR, not even whether you own it. I have a sneaking suspicion that our new boat may have been on two registers at the same time even before the final cash had been paid.
Not sure it is so different, guessing it depends whether the seller agrees that the items your survey picks up are an issue. Even in the UK if a survey picked up a major issue you would expect it dealt with or the price adjusted to allow you to deal with it.
Some owners keep boats perfectly and...
we solved the overheating problem in the sun by putting our boat on the East Coast of the UK. strangely the sunlight viewable bit is not much of a problem either :encouragement:
