As Rappey says, Treadmaster can be an absolute bxxxxx to get off. Our Westerly Corsair had the decks covered in the stuff. A combination of sanding, electric plane, electric scraper, etc plus many, many hours of hard unpleasant work eventually removed it. We painted the decks afterwards.

For what it’s worth, during 18 years in the Med I was only asked for a “Captain’s Licence” twice. The ICC satisfied the authorities.
