Has anybody seen the Wowcher offer of Southampton Boat Show any day tickets for £20, and had any success in redeeming the voucher?

I paid over the money, got a vouches to redeem, and was told that activation codes would be sent within three hours. I’ve heard nothing and Wowcher aren’t interested. 600 others have apparently paid their money over to Wowcher and I wondered whether anybody had succeeded in getting hold of a ticket?

I'm aware the event management bunch 'Eventree' had a continuing problem with their ticketing software. That may well be resolved now.

My e-tickets took a few days to arrive. Those were free from the marina but use a central system so assume it's just slower than expected and wouldn't panic yet.

Which marina is giving out tickets? We're with Premier, and haven't heard anything about free tickets. I'm used to getting free ones from the RYA, and am disappointed that they are only doing 2 4 1 this year, given that a) the single ticket price seems very high at £32, and b) my wife is working over the boat show period, and so I only need 1 ticket...
Many thanks,

Haha yes well Premier wouldn't, that's one of the many reasons I'm no longer with them! Boatfolk are giving two tickets to every bertholder. They also look at the boats as they walk the pontoons, and say hello. I even have a plaque on the pontoon declaring that the berth is mine (or, at least my boat!).

Many thanks,

It's annoying the RYA only do the BOGOF on anyday tickets at £32 not the weekday one at £26. There is no way I'd go at the weekend. There was always a John Goode code (JG1) but sadly it no longer works (RIP John).

I feel like this sums up modern life. The ticket price is set with the expectation that every single attendee will use some sort of freebie or voucher to buy them cheaper. Realistically the tickets could just be a reasonable price in the first place and avoid all of this nonsense. With GDPR it's not even as if they get useful data out of all this chicanery

Not sure it's even "modern" life, ever since the Daily Mail launched the Ideal Home Exhibition in 1908, we're been gullible enough to pay to enter a sales arena ever since. I bet they had BOGOF deals even then!

£20 boat show ticket finally arrived today, which gives me £12 to spend on a free lunch. I wonder what will buy?

£12 might get you a cup of crappie tea.
Head for the Mayflower Kiosk on the north side of the main area. It is a permanent kiosk in Mayflower Park that benefits from extra business during the show. Prices are always reasonable, unlike throughout the rest of the show.
