Dog hair can be hoovered up. We have had a friend with a very well behaved Springer Spaniel on board. They are quite meticulous about him being regularly bathed so he doesn't smell.

They don't need to be with a Springer, show the dog water and splosh, they will do it themselves lol.:D:encouragement:

Ha! I can beat this hands down. My boats has had growing kids. Put that in the dog's pipe to smoke! Replacing carpets etc is a yearly maintenance item

Is this a thread aimed at OCD Bilge polishers who like to live in a sanitised world and carry a small bottle of gel in their pocket

... and then you have 'wet dog' smell....:ambivalence:

I spent some time yesterday at a friend's home, she isn't quite an old cat lady as she only has 3, it was my dog's first time with cats - they're all similar size and colors to him. He seemed amused they just sat there doing nothing other than expecting my attention even when he was bouncing around wanting to play and why he couldn't hiss back :) Their servant was amazed they were so friendly to me - I've always surprised humans about their pets behaviour including a Shepard I didn't know was a guard dog and 3 big dogs protecting their injured Mum when I was a paramedic.

I grew up with cats but in the last 10 years or so I can't spend to much time with them without allergy issues and the cat smell is just ;( he scratched all day so bathed but no actually signs of fleas do maybe it was a 'don't get a cat Dad' play'?

Wet dog over smoker smell every time - the dog wil dry...

Sorry rambling to keep active.

Agreed... and the dogs are normally much politer.

disagree, most insist on smelling me up and i do wash, bit of licking too WTF, at least the humans i meet don't do that ...
I'd rather be licked by a dog (not on the face obviously - I'm well aware of what else they lick :ambivalence:) than have smoke blown in my face.
