Trying to help fan the flames of enthusiasm in a female friend of mine, who says she is really interested in learning to sail (cruising, not dinghy)
Are there any females on the forum who can recommend any week long plus general sailing courses/ holidays at home or abroad?
She'd prefer an all female course by the way.
Cheers John

I went with Allabroad in Gibraltar. Not women only but definitely women friendly. BTW there are women only swimming sessions at my local pool!

By all means go for a woman instructor, best instructor I ever had was for my Dazed Kipper(1984?), Sue had a crew of boys, and being pregnant (secret to all but the doctor on board) caused Sue a few problems but she coped well with bucket and chucket and her husband went on to get a medal in the Olympics, LA and FD?

If Sue reads this please send me a PM, we have done one circumnavigation, son Harry was born in Fiji and I am just retired, setting off in April for a lap of honour but turning right at Singapore and learning Japaneese.

Many thanks for inspirational tuition.

Best wishes,

Dr John
