Wasn't going to post this, but after talking to someone and taking a string of annoying phone calls ......I will

Why is it that people looking at purchasing my boat, or boats in general, ask blatently stupid questions. For example, chap on the end of the phone looking at a piccy of my boat on the trailer, "Is the Range Rover included in the price". Then theres the other chap "it says 'ere that its got a volvo engine, what make is that then?" Another bloke asked "does it float"

Getting totally pissed off with this. Ok so the broker is fielding the calls and asking me if he minds giving my number so the customer can arrange a viewing. I wouldn't mind but the pratts that are phoning up are completely brain dead. I should have done as they said and left the boat with them and not used it while its up for sale.

my mate once advertised a brown dralon sofa for sale

he got a call in the evening....this sofa for sale ....yes...what colour is it....brown.....oh I dont like brown (hang up tone) brrrrrrrrrrr

When he told us the next day we all phoned up doing the same thing for a larf.

Some people amaze me they must be the people that finish the test before reading the full bit on the front page.

I take it all back about the boating trade. With brain dead morons about like this they deserve all the money they can con out of them. Its not bleeding rocket science, but asking questions about it without digesting the information given to you or what is blatantley obvious, takes some doing.

How do these people get on in the rest of their lives. Surely natural selection took most of the bad genes out of the pool millions of years ago or did it! Sorry to rant on, but the next gold festooned, single eyebrowed, no necked, crew cut, piggy eyed, flat nosed, knuckle dragging, neanderthal pikey look a like with a vocabulary of a 5 year old with a speech impediment, will be told to F*** right O** back to where they came from.

Ah! Thats better!

Tyre kickers & Nose pickers!

See title for general derogatory terms for time wasters. I love the one "does it float" - that started my day with a laugh.

No matter what you selling, you always attract these types....

Ah yes, does it float. Bit of a peach that one. Spoke to the broker today. Asked if he could just put the genuine looking ones through. He gave a chap my number yesterday so that a viewing could be arranged. Not bad in itself, until the phone rings a 10.30 last night. I know I said "tell 'im to ring anytime", but for gods sake, I was just changing into my winciette jim jams getting ready for bed. Another numbskull who hasn't a clue.

I'm going right off this selling lark. I've a good mind to keep the thing if I get much more of these people.

There's a deathly silence about the phone lately, do you think they read this forum.

Anyway, that aside, what do people think of a Draco Crystal. Early to mid 90's boat, 26 feet 27 and a half o/a, 200hp Vilevo on duo's (cringe, what am I letting myself in for) all the usual stuff. Spent most of its life on the river or so a I am told. Looks to fit the brief, sleeps 4 and 2 more under the canopy in the cockpit. Its got a bog and a shower along with galley. Asking 18,500 for it. Not too gen'd up on these what do you think. Also saw a Draco twin cab for not a lot of money, but it had 2 145 volvo's. Had quiet enough of those.

Barry,

Draco built like brick shed mines well put together as according to Byron built to Lloyds A100.
Twin Cab has 2 x cabins (fore berth and under cocpit aft one) and pseudo flybridge so quite a bit of space. Normally twin engined although a few singles around. Some Volvos a few Mercs.
Could poss. sell mine, PM me or phone if interested.

No the one I'm on about looks more like the windy 7800/8000. Early 90's, seems a lot of boat for the money. Going to have a look on tues. Just wanted to know what sort of reputation they had.
