Who\'s out on the Solent this weekend?

Tina and I are sailing on the Solent with six friends this weekend! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Really looking forward to it!

The weather seems abit, well 1/2/3 ish, which will be great for four of the crew who are new to sailing. Plenty of sun factor b@gger off on though.

Plan is to leave Haslar midday'ish Friday in company with Freedom of Hamble, (The Bene 47.7, which is on a long couple of week hopping session to southern Ireland!), poodle down to Yarmouth, or may even go to Bucklers Hard, depending on tide hight and time of arrival. Stop over the night, Texas hold 'em poker night!!
Sat morn, meander back east, drop the pick in Osbourne Bay, stay there for 4 - 6 hours. May have a paddle, dangle the rods, dine, and then back to Haslar for tea and stickies.

Sunday, depending on how busy the Solent is, may pop out for a scream over to Cowes and back.

Anyone see us, give us a shout and come and say ahoy!

we'll be coming into Portsmouth around that time.....

FullCircle, Goldfish, Solene, one non-forumite and myself....

Will be heading towards Gosport marina though, as we'll want a full tank of fuel for the inevitable motor sailing heading east!

Can't sail with my arm in a sling so off home (to Penzance) for Easter.

I have spent most of the weeks running up to Easter in recenty years dreaming of the day when I would have my own boat and not have to angle for invites to go sailing over the long weekend and now it has arrived and I can't use it!

Had planned the week on the boat but one of the dogs is in plaster with a broken leg - having forked out two and half grand in vets fees, I'm not going to risk any further damage! Sod's law, it looks like the weather will be alright with me stuck on the shore. Will just have to watch everyone go by from the ISC balcony.

We will be out (me, SWMBO, and Billy) Leaving Hamble Friday arrive at new morring (Chichister) Monday bit in between who knows.

We have just bought Moonedance from some bloke with a bottle of stella in his hand all the time
I believe he is up to his elbows in 'plumbing' at the moment in spain so cant come out to play
SHMBO and I are aiming to get to itchenor via portsmouth friday and saturday

Well for a real change, I will be on the Solent today and tomorrow. Maybe Saturday too if it goes TU on the shakedown out of Lymington.
Hopefully not.

Look East to see our stern on its way to Mudflats Central tomorrow.
