im looking to put a wind generator on my southerly105 maybe a d400 or kiss can anybody recomend best place to purchace and price and are they anygood which one would everybody recomend?
Either way you should budget £1,500 for the D400, regulator and a 316 S/St tower to mount it on. Don't scrimp on the tower. A lot of money but they are excellent generators and the noise level is low.
No idea about KISS - are they available in the UK?
You should also look at Air-X which were a good bit cheaper (than D400) when the $/£ was 2:1, likely less good now. Also good power output but you'll need to take the considerable noise into account!

There is a thread on the Liveaboard forum here that discusses the Air-X and a new version, the Air Breeze, which may be quieter, although only 200W instead of the Air-X's 400W.
thanks for the reply ive bought the tower from barden for a airex which i bought of ebay big mistake looked under the cover unit was in bits hense looking for either d400 or kiss but d4oo expensive is there any wholsalers of them?
We have a Kiss, installed in Trinidad by the manufacturer, but they will send worldwide and offer a superb service.
Ours is now 10 years old and I heartily recommend the product.
It is a substantial piece of kit though, we are a 40 footer. However it provides ALL our power. NO solar or generator. 98% of the time it is sufficient.
It's quiet when running, simple to maintain, and efficient at producing power.
