Looking to buy a radar reflector and wondered where it can be mounted on my boat. The boat is a Fairline Corniche flybridge cruiser with a grp radar arch with the scanner mounted on the top.

I am concerned that the reflector may cause the radar to give me false readings if I mount it in the wrong place.

I am considering an Echomax or possibly a Cyclops so any comments on these would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Nick

put it on a pole only slightly higher than the radar scanner, no probs. I have seen a cyclops type mounted on the top of the dome!

Could you hang it below the radar arch (with a fixing top & bottom to secure it).

I have done this on my boat. Top is fastened to an eye on the (stainless) arch and the bottom lashed to the flybridge rail.

I have also seen the reflector fixed to one of the sides of the radar arch!
