... the single bunk(s) that run fore and aft under the cockpit seats?

... you might argue the case. The usual defintion of a pilot berth is "a small bunk, usually amidships in the saloon, to allow the captain or off duty watch quick access to deck or the navigation station" (cf here). The term seems to have become attached to the narrow shelf-like bunks found on offshore racing boats particularly, which are above and behind the settee-berths, and are either temporary pull-outs or permanent but mostly used for cabin stowage.
