Afternoon all,
Looking to refine the domestic side of the boat for the wife and one of the things she has asked me to look into is making the freezer or fridge thermostat better. At present we have a single standard metal probe thermostat that is fed through the interior side of the fridge to the cold plate at the back. This also has the wires that run from the thermostat to the compressor that is under the stairs with the wires all being hidden etc as you would expect.
Is there a remote thermostat that you can place in the fridge or freezer and set the temperature and then it communicates wirelessly with the receiver unit that I would locate next to the compressor, therefore avoiding the need to dismantle all the galley woodwork etc to replace the exisiting and slightly temperamental thermostat? Aware that the temp probe part would have to be battery powered and likely the receiver unit also.
We have wireless temperature displays for the fridge and freezer so just wondering if there is anything like I describe?
