yes they are there... no idea about directional lights. I passed them mid morning.

Trouble is, it's not a spot we fancied being after dark...

Its the mounting support for an aerial cable which carried power to the Phare de Nividic lighthouse. There are two of these mounting supports, see

The cable also carried a cable car for maintenance of the light.
The light is now powered by solar panels.
