No, No it should be SWMO She Who Must Obey - If you get stuck with one of the other sort then better look around for a better model.

SWMBOs just are. You know it, I know it.
Not dependant on matrimonial contract exchange.
She lets you buy a boat, you buy the boat.
If she wants you to sell the boat, eventually you will, maybe by downsizing until its not worth the effort. In rare circumstances recognises your continuing need and allows you to go sailing while she does her own things.
Sets the jollies budget so you dont end up in debtors gaol, or missing this years contribution to the Inland Revenue.
Term of endearment that buys you a couple or few weekends with your neer-do-well chums each year.
Term of endearment that allows you to be a little more naughty than you might otherwise be if you changed the term to something like 'Bilious Hag'.
Term of endearment that allows you to look like the boss, also known as reverse psychology.
Ultimately, signals to the world that this is your life partner. After all you wouldn't apply the term to last nights totty (well not for a couple of years anyway).

At what point does someone cease to be a partner and becomes SWIMBO?

[/ QUOTE ] marrige usually does this once and for all..........

Is there such a thing as HIMBO?

[/ QUOTE ]

yes but it derives from BIMBO not SWMBO and is not as actively pursued by most in the same way that a HWMBO would be.
Experience suggests that a SWMBO and HWMBO on the same team will not work.

I am glad somebody asked this question I have been trying to work out swmbo for months.
Before anybody else says it ,yes I know we all spend our lives trying to work that one out.
Not me though,I gave up and got divorced !

Re: Fred Rift

"Where's that old Pear's Cyclopaedia?"
"What are you doing?" said SWMBO.
"Research. Rider Haggard."
"On a Sunday? After roast beef and yorkshires?"
"Yup."
"Why?"
"Because some eejit's trying to expand my brain."
"Not one of those Scuttlebutt eejits?"
"Yup."
"Why don't you wait until Donald figures it out for you?"
"!"

She's no' daft. Thanks Rocky.

Re: Fred Rift

Yeah, that's where I looked.
Re SC, well, 'cos it's Halloweeny, all the kids were off to various parties, I'm off to Holland tomorrow and spent most of last week anywhere but home, and, well, I talk a good job but sometimes, well, you know, it's like, err, well, ......SMBO.
Oh, and I took the race-car over to Embra yesterday for it's winter rebuild. Yeah, without permission.
Wasn't it a bit bouncy yesterday Cliffy?

Mrs Superstrath says I've to take her two glamorous-and-single-chums for a sail, perhaps next weekend. I said I'd need to consult my buddies. Where are we going then?
