West coast anchorages that require dues similar to Chichester Harbour?

Ink, I know what you meant. I just wanted to clarify for people who don’t know the area.

eg. If passing through the Crinan canal there is an excellent anchorage (and free moorings) off the Ottercatcher pub a couple of miles north up Loch Fyne.

But Loch Fyne - and all the Clyde north of Arran - is a harbour; part of Clydeport. The boundary (which runs through the northernmost part of Arran) clearly marked on all the charts! There are local harbours within it (e,g. Tarbert), but the whole area is a port operated by Clydeport. And it is used as such; for example, Loch Striven has been used for mothballing tankers not in current use.

From memory the moorings have a suggested donation of £10. But not compulsory. Think there was an honesty box. Was a couple of years ago though.
