WESSEX TEAK CLEANER ,RENOVATOR

Bin man unless you know more than god ,am I right that every chemical available on this planet ,is made by stuff from the planet and being most of the planet is above sea level they wi find there way to the sea.
Not every chemical is made from "stuff from the planet". Some advanced compounds and materials are made from mixtures of natural and man-made "stuff", think of socks for an example.

And as for "most of the planet is above sea level", you could check on BBC BiteSize (TV school for children) to find that only 15% of the earth's surface is above sea level.

I was going to give you 5/10 for trying with your OP about the effect of Wessex on the environment, but you do need to try a bit harder to verify the sources and bases of some of your statements.

Bin man can I ask , do you know all this shit or do you pick it up as you go along.

Shame about all the irrelevant posts ignoring the op question and waffling about the environment which wasn't mentioned. I was going to ask the same, sensible question but clearly no answers on here so will try emailing Wessex.

You have been here before in a previous thread and it's good to see that you are asking about the environment before using the chemicals.

The Materials Safety Data Sheet is here
https://www.wessexboatstore.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Wessex-Teak-Cleaner-Part-1-WP-0422.pdf

In summary, it's mainly about the damage it can do to human beings:

"Adverse physicochemical, human health and environmental effects. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage."

There are recommendations about the environment as well:

" Environmental precautions. Avoid release to the environment. Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Notify authorities if liquid enters sewers or public waters."
I suggest you read the post before spouting drivel, he never mentioned the environment. He was asking a sensible question about whether using salt water instead of fresh water would affect the cleaning process. I was wondering the same and Google brought me here to find totally unhelpful replies.

Rex thank you for pointing out bin man is a nooob, but now you have awaken him . He will spout more shite. But get him in a conversation about toilet products ,but god he knows he knows his shit.

There are 2 parts to this.

1. What water you add to the bucket to dilute it. Use fresh. The boat water tanks are not going to be drained by 10lt of fresh water.

Then there is hosing off the deck which will use far more water. Using salt I cant see will have any impact. The aim is to wash away the chemicals which it will.

If you must use sea water to dilute the stuff then just try a small bit and see what happens.
