1. New Editions of ADMIRALTY Charts to be published on 7th May, 2026 -
SN Chart 1834
England - East Coast, River Medway, Garrison Point to Folly Point. 1:12,500; Otterham Creek. 1:12,500
SN Chart 1835 England - East Coast, River Medway, Folly Point to Maidstone. 1:6,000
A Continuation of the River Medway. 1:25,000
B Continuation of the River Medway to Maidstone.1:25,000
2. ENGLAND - East Coast - Wrecks. Obstructions. Depth. - This is a preliminary notice adding detail to the previous preliminary notice 1211(P) of 2026. The notice repeats details of wrecks and obstruction as previous and now adds one reduction of depth off Orford Haven entrance. But sufficient water at 6.3m for us. The image is updated to display all issues.
3. ENGLAND - East Coast - NM Blocks. - This Notice announces 5 difference blocks for two SN charts and two SC charts for the approaches to Lowestoft Harbour and the area of the Waveney and Hamilton Docks. The download has all five blocks.

1. Harwich Haven - Survey Operations – Morgan James 3, Boblin and Pure Chance -
the following vessels will be carrying out Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) survey and water sampling operations from 01 March 2026 until 15 May 2026, whenever the weather permits.
Morgan James 3 (Callsign: MSKDS) - Between Landguard Point & Blackman’s Head Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) survey and water sampling operations in cross channel transects
Boblin (Callsign: MRIS4) & Pure Chance (Callsign: MJXSS2) - Cross river/estuary transects of River Stour at Bristol Buoy
Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) survey and water sampling operations in cross river/estuary transects
Cross river/estuary transects of River Orwell at Fagbury Buoy

2. River Medway - Adrift Pontoon – Kingsnorth Area - This was alerted earlier by the Forum - Nothing new added -
"the pontoon reported as adrift in NtoM 22 of 2026 dated 3rd April, has now been secured to Kingsnorth Jetty. The structure is adjacent to the shoreline in shallow water and attached to the jetty piles. Attempts to fully recover the pontoon will be made during the next spring tide period, a further update to this notice will be published as and when the situation changes."
3. Ipswich Lock Operation - following a Dive Survey the West Outer Gate will remain closed. This closure is due to a Subsea mechanical fault. Until Tuesday 14th April 2026 the Lock will be operational on a 1 gate operation. On Tuesday 14th April the lock will be closed for defect rectification between 0800 and 1700.This N to M will be updated as soon as further information is known. Mariners requiring any more information should contact ONS on VHF Ch68.
4. Lowestoft Bascule Bridge Maintenance – Overnight Marine Restrictions - essential maintenance is scheduled for Lowestoft Bascule Bridge. To accommodate the maintenance there will be overnight restrictions to Bridge Openings as follows:-
13th to 17th April, 21st to 23rd April (all dates inclusive – 7 nights). 2000hrs to 0600hrs – Commercial Bridge Openings only accommodated with a minimum of 6hrs notice. No small boat openings.
If requested additional small boat openings will be accommodated at 2000hrs and at 0600hrs. All vessel operators and owners are requested to carefully consider operational requirements, and to schedule vessel transits outside of the closure periods to avoid Please contact Lowestoft Port Control, VHF Ch14, Tel. 01502 572286 (Option 3) if further information is required.
5. Lowestoft Outer Harbour – Continuation of Dredging Activity - maintenance dredging operations are scheduled for Lowestoft Outer Harbour (in vicinity of the entrance to Waveney Dock), details as follows:-
Plough Dredger ‘UKD Seahorse’. Commencing work a.m. 13th April, duration of works approx. 3hrs. The dredger will display lights and shapes for dredging activities as prescribed in the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. UKD Seahorse will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch 14. Vessel movements will be co-ordinated via Lowestoft Port Control. Mariners are requested to afford dredging a wide berth if practical and safe to do so, and to pass at slow speed. Please contact Lowestoft Port Control, VHF Ch14, Tel. 01502 572286 (Option 3) if further information is required.
6. East Coast of England - The Wash - Approaches to King’s Lynn
River Nene Anchorage - ”W1” light buoy and AIS AtoN off station - Mariners are advised that W1 light buoy (52° 55’.703N 000°16’.524E) is off station and the AIS “Aid to Navigation” signal should be disregarded. A replacement buoy will be established in due course. Please contact the Harbour Office for further information.
7. Sizewell C Harbour - Mooring Spread Deployment - On or about the 13th of April 2026, in preparation for the operational positioning of the Jack-Up Barge NP497 the multi-cat C-Odyssey will deploy two of the four legs comprising the mooring spread to be used during the CDO pipe-pull operation. This is taking place ahead of the final positioning of the NP497, which is scheduled to take place on or around the 14th of April. All four mooring legs will be marked by buoys which will be lit FlY 5s and will be in the following positions, all within the MCZ:
Mooring Clump 4 52° 13.3’N 001° 37.7’E
Mooring Clump 1 52° 13.29’N 001° 37.7’E
Mooring Clumps 2 & 3 will be installed in the following days to fit around the operational positioning of the NP497.

Mooring Clump 2 52° 13.3’N 001° 37.8’E
Other vessels should maintain an appropriate and safe distance when passing the C-Odyssey whilst she is installing the mooring spread and should pass at the lowest speed to avoid vessel wash effects. Vessels should comply with the Colregs at all times. The C-Odyssey vessel will maintain a continuous
listening watch on VHF Channel 16 and Channel 12.
