Yes.
The ones I remember were built in 60's and 70's of steel in Holland. Seen one or 2 on the Thames. They did one around 28 ft with an aft cockpit and Albin engine.
Not sure but think they may also have gone into GRP a little later.
Thanks for the reply. The guy I bought the boat from mentioned Holland and that the company when bust some years ago and that was about it. The boat is a 22ft GRP cruiser it is a funny colour like a light beige. It is a hull, liner, decks ect but has never been fitted out and never been on the water.
Hi Chippyray. My father owned a Waterland in the late sixties/early seventies, called Nimrod. It was built in Holland, g.r.p. construction, fully fitted out and 23 feet long, powered by a Ford Watermota engine (petrol). It had light blue topsides with a white hull. Intended for use on rivers i believe, my father and myself made trips to Ireland from her base on the Cleddau river in Pembrokeshire. I've got fond memories of the boat, as she took us safely through some fairly choppy seas on occasions. I doubt many were imported into this country......my father bought his new from Marine Secol in Northants. There was one advertised for sale in Devon a short time ago, which was known as the Waterland 700. Hope this has been of some help.
