After a good run on the engines I tend to have a visual check while engines are still running.

Well A small leak from the sea intake water pump, it does not look like it is coming from the front of the pump (where you change the impeller) but from the back? Is there a kit to fix this? Is it an o-ring on the shaft?

I rather get the bits first before I take it a part since the boat is still useable but once I take it to bits I will be stuck in port!

It is not a big leak but having seawater dripping on the engine is not going to make them happy.

Any help will be welcome, Thanks

There is usually an O ring style seal on the shaft. some pumps you will have to use a press to remove the shaft. All home doable on the bench. Log on to the Jabsco site and there is a full listing of the parts rebuild kits etc.

OK, Better get to work!

Thanks for the help, now I can see the bits on the screen, I have more confidence to break things and order new ones!

OK, Been on Jabsco site and there is a seal to replace included in the service kit but can I replace on the boat while still in the engine?

It is behind a wearplate?
