I know someone who used it when they had diesel bug and it did the job with no probs. They changed the filters after it had done the business and added it for a short while afterwards so it didn't return. That was over 6 months ago and everything is still OK. Don't know about any upturn in performance or fuel consumption, but for diesel bug, it does the job. Which button do I press ?

While cruising along the river Damascus nr Chertsey With my quiet petrol engine I suddenly felt an urge to buy a diesel engine in order to be able to save the sort of money needed to buy industrial amounts of S.........n to stick in the tank of my newly purchased diesel in order to keep it running.Hurrah.

I added just a small amount of this stupendous alixia to the fifty gallons of diesel remaining in the tanks of my Princess back in March 2001 and have not had to put any more fuel in her since.

Mind you, I sold the boat last April!

In favour - come what may ... I wish it could figure out my radio problem!

Whilst I am on the subject, CorrosionX did sort out my switching problem on my in boat radio that had the channel button jumping channels all over the place, A touch of Corrosion X and a week later the radio was working and has continued to work fine, I can now select a channel in the downward direction.

I suggest we hold out for free samples so that we can make a proper judgment; and following the lead of our politicians a small donation will not influence my vote - ate the end of the day.

Re: Aye...

I use it and won't have a word said against it. It has reduced fuel consumption from nearly 17gph to around 15gph. Since using it we have had no more blocked filters, no water in the seperators, and a bit less smoke.

I am the cleverest chap on this forum so I should know. And everyone has a right to MY opinion. TIC

Re: Not coming..

with MBM this year coz I think its a bit early. If it is calm it will be foggy etc.

Yes we did go up to the drinkies at the castle, though I think I was trousers up for the whole evening.

We are planning to head your way in July so I will look forward to gallons of free Soltron. TIC.

Re: Aye...

Dave, no way that stuff improves your consumption 12%, no way. That's a massive amount. Are you talking out of your famous bottom? (TIC)

Re: Actual figures...

First season with the boat averaged 18 gph. We had some new 4 blade props fitted last winter and an injector service and consumption was down to 16.8 gph. Then started using Soltron regularly and after 3 tankfuls we now average between 15 and 15 1/2 gph. No other changes have been made.

If you have any other ideas about why I am using less fuel please let me know so I can bottle it and sell it.

It seems to work for me.
