We recently launched the other boat but then found that engine will not turn over. There is a click from the relay but no click from the solenoid or starter motor, battery was well charged, cables and connections have been cleaned and had minimal voltage drop when the key was turned. Starter motor now removed and on the bench at home, I have applied 12V from a good battery (25mm cables with good connections) to the casing and touched the positive to both solenoid connections and well as suppling the wee spade terminal with 12V. Not a thing, appears to be dead. Any tips? There will likely be a call to parts4engines in the morning to order a new one, its not hugely expensive and the engine is circa 25 years old. If thei was earlier in the season, there may be more fault finding time, but it is June, almost the end of the summer up here
