I lost my VHF operators licence when Sirenia sank.
It did not have the DSC part anyway.
I will now have to get a new VHF and will need a new Op Licence to go with it.

If you know of an inexpensive coarse taking place before Easter next year, please could you let me know.

Thanks

I also lost my Coastal Skipper Practical completion certificate.
Not so bothered about that.

The really annoying thing I lost was my mileage log.

Clive, if you remember where you did your VHF course you can probably phone up and ask for a copy. The DSC part can be done in an hour or two.

Les runs his courses at Grafham, 10 mins from where I live. If you only want the DSC part you just have to turn up for an hour or two and do the DSC bit while the others are doing something humdrum like the phonetic alphabet.

He's away for the summer as usual, but starts doing the shore-based courses in the Autumn. If you want his contact details let me know and I'll pass 'em on.

I need to do that, I'll look him up.

Someone told me that when they say 'over and out' on the films it's actually a contradtiction in terms, and should be just 'over' or 'out' on their own. Is that correct?
