I'll come and pick you up again Nigel as I agree; we gave our son a P2 , 233Mhz running win98 1st. so he could keep in touch, forward mail etc.. Hasn't had to touch it in four years!

Win XP is a major memory hog, and needs considerably more than the stated 128MB to work properly. I have XP and struggled for 5 months with my 128MB of RAM before deciding enough was enough and upgrading to 640MB RAM to get it working like it should (which was probably more than I need, but what the hell!). XP does have some great features, and I'm glad I upgraded, but of course it totally depends what you're using your computer for.
