What colour did it start off?
It was blue, but the strong sun this summer has ruined it.

+1 for bleach mixture with Sunbrella. Question is; I used Tesco bleach, but the note from Sunbrella states 'Chlorine bleach'. How to tell? Domestos Original seems to have chlorine bleach, but others rather vague.

Stains and Mildew
Sunbrella fabric does not promote mildew
growth, however, mildew may grow on
dirt and other foreign substances that are
not removed from the fabric. To clean
mildew, or other stubborn stains:
• Eight ounces (one cup) of chlorine
bleach.
• Two ounces (1/4 cup) of mild soap and/
or detergent.
• One gallon of water.
• Clean with soft bristle brush.
• Allow mixture to soak into the fabric for
up to 20 minutes.
• Rinse thoroughly.
• Air dry.
• Repeat if necessary.
• Retreatment of fabric for water and stain
resistance will be necessary.

The picture above was done with NaCo (Sainsbuy's thick bleach).
I have just bought Happy Shopper thin bleach which is NaOcl which is Chlorine based.
Will report the result.

All supermarket bleach is chlorine based. It contains a small percentage of sodium hypochlorite (NaClO).

...described as non-chlorine based.... It did a very good job cleaning off the mildew on my cockpit tent...although at first did not appear to have done a particularly thorough clean.
After a couple of days in the sun..however...there was a remarkable improvement.
I may get some sent over...unless someone has come across a UK supplier

Please with a diluted bleach-bath
I brought home my Dacron No4 that had lived under the forward bunk all season without being hoisted once. With the lack of use this year it was starting to get a covering of black spots of mildew. Having read this thread I stuck if in a cold bath with about ¼ bottle of household bleach for a couple of hours then rinsed twice in fresh water.
Did the job, no more mildew.
Materials and stitching all looks and feels good still so I’m impressed with the result. I wouldn’t want to let it soak for too long but a relatively weak (diluted) bleach bath seems to do the trick.
I have read somewhere that you shouldn’t do this with spinnaker type material as it will do damage but no problem on Dacron it seems.
