There is me - looking fwd to a great 2026 playing with my mobo on the river ... and I get news I have Stomach Cancer ... I have to look fwd to 2 months Chemo .. operation .. then recovery treatment that can be up to 1 year total.

Now I am watching the price of fuel rocket up .... even in the job I am in - I cannot get out of it ...

Now waiting to hear what #3 will be .. as trouble usually comes in 3's

I met a guy who had the rule of 3 on his boat. If there were 2 things not working he would take a lamp out of the aft cabin light to maintain the rule.
Hope everything works out for you

So sorry to hear that.
It may be helpful to know that in 2017, when I was still a liveaboard in Spain, I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.
Radio and chemo, surgery, more chemo.
Still here and going strong, even if I have sold the boat and moved back to the uk.

Ops Manager who works for me - his wife is Doctor ... she had 2 patients similar to my condition about 5yrs ago ... they went through the schedule and are fine today ...

Sorry to hear that Nigel, look after yourself and get better soon.

Last weekend was bad for us, we had a guest staying over, she borrowed my e-bike and went out with my wife and her sister to visit a relative, they decided to stop for a refreshment but our guest lost her balance and fell over trapping her foot between the front wheel and the frame snapping her foot out the socket - off to hospital, later I was pressing down the recycle and there was a can lid went right through my finger, - off to hospital, the paramedic that was stitching up my finger was also the one that attended to the guest, he commented that he seen that our family came in threes, as he had just put 26 stiches in our eldest lad's calf after a mountain bike ran into him.

The girls never got their refreshment either, and the guest is now immobile for 6 weeks after surgery to put the ankle back together again properly.
