Waiting for #3 problem ....

Hydraulics guy came to day ...

5 mins later had the main -ve cables in hand .. showing the completely corroded / burnt out ends ...

Opinion is that the HIAB has been working with faulty pressure switch. He asked how it usually worked .. and I said that I switch on and pump immediately kicks in to pressurise .. that it runs continuously. After about 30 mins or so working cuts out and I have to wait for oil / pump to cool before I can use again. I usually switch on .. lift .. switch off .. do whtever and when I need HIAB again - switch on .. keeping the actual ON times as short as possible.
I always assumed it was old and worn .. oil a bit low etc.
He replied that pump should only run when operating controls to maintain pressure .. a pressure switch should stop the pump when idle. He reckons over time its destroyed the -ve connection.
We tried bridging the cable - but did not work - so maybe internal damage as well.

Motor is now out and off to repair shop to check it out ...

Regarding the support legs down ...

Both myself and Hydraulics Engineer tried to lift the legs ... but they have a safety pressure valve in the top that prevents them being moved if system not operating ... a failsafe ...
Needs to connect a hand pump to put pressure on to cause failsafe pressure valve to open.

OW !! Wish all to recover well ...
Thanks for the wishes.
Not going so well for the cousin, she is back in the hospital for a second time with another infection in her wound, that and she has come down with some virus too.
Son's leg is not healing well either and has had to go for antibiotics as the wound is quite inflamed.
My finger is doing fine though 👍

I really do not know what is happening ....

Me - cancer ...

Other day wife is screaming at dog .. her Mother had to go to Care Home ... so we had to take her dog .. It does not fit in well with ours (we already had 3 dogs and 6 cats). Her dog decided to bite a lump out of one of the cats neck.
Multiple visits to Vetinary ... finally appears to be healing 🤞

What with MoBo problem ... my HIAB truck problem ... my health ... wife moaning that she's got bad Flu ... the cat .. the dogs .... makes me want to just hide away somewhere !!

Yeah I can believe that, my wife's ex is in the terminal stages of liver cancer, they have stopped treatment and in February they gave him 3-6 months, kids are quite upset about it.
He had no interest in family before, and now he still has no interest other than what they can do for him, so him and his mate buggered off to Thailand for 10 days causing much upset here, youngest daughter then announced she is pregnant.
Apart from that: Always look on the bright side of life...
Take care of yourself.

PS. I never did find that speed log anywhere, the bag it should have been in had some stuff for the Honda outboard, but the speed log and the portable echosounder are missing... I have an idea where they went but the person denies it.

No worries on the Log ... decided to cut out the old and fit the Nasa Dual I have spare once the lift / tilt mechanism is fixed.

I'm off to Hospital April 13th ... they see a 'blurred' image on the CT scan in the chest cavity ... so they want to cut and look inside with camera - they think maybe it spread a little but they want to make sure.
2 - 3 days there .. then home till end of month - to then start Chemo.

Wife's mother keeps asking where I am ... its strange that with Dementia / Alzheimers ... they remember one person ... Not first time for me .. I had similar with my Aunt .. Grandmother and Uncle ...
My Grandmother even used to ask to see the Alsation dog I had ... Judy - full thouroughbred GSD was absolute gold with her ... would sit by her chair - head on her arm.
