Underwater lights

Hi all, I understand this is not everyone’s cup
Of tea, but I think I’d like to add some underwater lights to the stern of my motor boat.
Can anyone recommend the best type
To go for in the uk. Can colours change or is it chose and thats what you get?

I believe that Lumishore are well spoken of in forum mobo circles.

Certainly seem to be clever and neat design with solid technology.

Setting up any firm of underwater lighting is best regarded as an investment....

I would imagine that Boat (Marine) labeled would be higher priced than pond lights ? Most pond lights have a step down adaptor to mains ... often to 12v or even less ... so simple to power from boats 12v instead of mains adaptor ?

In 50% ? of UK waters the result will be a vague greenish/pinkish ( your choice ) glow in the murk extending about a metre behind your boat and only actually visible if you actually spend any time on the boat at anchor at night during the one nice weekend during our alleged summer.
Better viewed during the hours of darkness , December and January, perhaps.
Do recall a Sealine 52, with the beyond the pale back to front radar arch, fitted with U/W lights moored in MDL Chatham, either the skipper had forgotton ? to turn them off or simply wanted everyone in the marina to know he had them fitted.
Viewed from the window of a resturant opposite during a cold January evening, would suggest they were almost certainly not Lumishores due to the somewhat depressing feeble glow emanating from the surrounding water.
You can apparently outdo your neighbours in the Underwater Lights Dept by turning them on via the Interweb, this is coolest when your boat is in Majorca and saves you the bother of having to fly down and do it yourself.

To be fair, the deep brown sea around your way is not everywhere. I discovered this when moving from Gillingham Marina to the West country!

Do they work in Watchet Marina or are they considered to be shore lights.

I must admit I don't have underwater lights I was just referring to the water and Watchet is particularly brown, but below Minehead it soon changes.

you must be alluding to the fact the local water is known to be full of "Nutrients"

I had the impression that they were Russians or similar sounding, it interested quite a few tourists, you could see fish swimming in the lights, I think tacky was their middle name!
