Thanks,at least I won’t be sitting around in the dark……hopingIf you are around the age of SC35-Mini (approx 21 years old) and you have great hair and a six-pack, then a boat with underwater lights might tip the balance in your favour.
If you are 60+ with an eight-pack, it will most likely not help in that regard.
But the reverse happens. If you are 85 plus & a bit frail & can afford them, then it will help a lotIf you are around the age of SC35-Mini (approx 21 years old) and you have great hair and a six-pack, then a boat with underwater lights might tip the balance in your favour.

Surely a light(s) on the stern platform, rather than underwater, would be more useful for safety when boardingAgee with jfm ref the safety aspect, my previous boat (Bav S40) had them at the transom and it made boarding onto the platform in the dark feel secure. Current boat does not, am wondering about adding them but it’s not a top priority.
I also like the ambience created assuming the general environment is sympathetic to them.
Exactamundo.Nope- if you had tried it you would know. Deck lighting is important, but having the whole sea glowing and being able to see the bottom/the dock/the tidal flow/ anything that might fall in the water, adds a whole additional layer of safety above what deck lighting can do.
I do lots of night work and would never dock the boat without uw lights switched on.
