Like our own carriers the Ford has had teething issues. It’s first in its class and an awesome bit of kit... the Prince of Wales is second (and probably last in class) but was built almost in parallel with QE...so the only lesson learned would be construction, procurement and cost cutting.
The Ford is completely electric...no more steam pipes...and so much electricity that she will be the platform for the new range of super weapons...like lasers

I very much enjoyed the videos of the Royal Marine band serenading the good burghers of New York, particularly in grand central station.His Majesty's Marines take to the air and fly the flag.

I have seen someone wearing a Naval uniform with beard and green beret. Surgeon Captain (or Commander as he was at the time) Rick Jolly, of the Red & Green life machine in the Falklands was so attired for the Falklands parade in London.
Mind you, I don’t suppose its a Navy medic flying with a jet pack….

Seems to me that anyone who flies a thing like that is very brave, especially over land.
If the engine fails the glide angle is 90 degrees and it is too low for a parachute.

Indeed he wasn't. Of the ~25 Royal Navy Medical Officers in my "intake" in 1984 I think about 5 did Commando training and got their green beret. Rev John Morris is perhaps the best person to comment.
I know of a number of "green beret" Royal Navy Medical Officers who served with the Royal Marines in the Falklands & South Georgia. In addition there were rather a lot of "non-green beret" RN Medical & Dental Officers who served ashore, at the Red & Green Life Machine in Ajax Bay as well as afloat on Canberra, Uganda and ships & submarines of the task force.
