It was probably the marina staff!!
When the fenders came out of my friends boat during the winter, at Hafan Pwhelli she suffered considerable damage to the toe rail, and the staff there never noticed!

I've lost a lot over the years, but I've also found quite a few floating around marinas etc. But I do hate thieves! There's no way of protecting them really.

So you wrap the fender line twice around the guard rail, pull a loop of it under the wrap, then put the lazy end back through the loop and pull it tight.

Found my giant fender bobbing along the Solent all by itself. It's lovely (though not as lovely as a Fenderstep), but too big, so it lives in the garden shed.

I've got two giant fenders, called my "Oh shit!" fenders, used when in tight mooring spots, when I say "Oh shit"! crew place them in appropriate place!! Could always do with another, could you get it in a stamped addressed envelope?

Using tyres for fenders would solve two problems. No-one would steal them and no-one would raft up alongside.

O-fenders

New invention.

Fenders in the shape of letters, as per alphabetti spaghetti.

If you don't want anyone rafting up just put out three 'f's and an 'o' suitably arranged along your seaward aspect . . .

Easier than signal flags as well.

The possibilities are endless.

Re: O-fenders

Yes, I think so, the "C" would have to be on its back, don't you think?
