eg the temp sensor on my Ferrari is exact same as a golf @£7 , or in a box with prancing horses for £140 .

I was in an independant Alfa Romeo/Italian specialist and a F360 rocked up with problems. The owner left and the mechanic who looked at it removed a MAF from an Alfa 147 and put it on the F360. Fixed. £60 part on a 147, £450 part on a 360. Fixed. Guess what they charged him!!!

The salespeed F1 pump from a 156 @circa £180 , is the exact same as the Ferrari one @£750 on a 360 F 1 as well .
As said the volume in the car community = peeps talk share etc .
Those volumes don’t exists in the boat community so we are all in the hands of the OEM suppliers .
Excepting consumables re engine service parts + oils .

Actually having said that and being pulled by motor experience I did find the original Danfoss supplier for the multitude of sensors that MAN use .
So those with MAN engines will recognise theses scattered all over them fwiw .
Interesting to find out the price difference between the factory and the official MAN agents ?

Danfoss Pressure Switches - Single RT | CAS | KPS | MBC | KP | KPI - M&M Controls

Porto,

my non Danfoss, non ship approved, not suitable for seawater, pressure sensor i'm using on my engines, cost something like 30euro (or there abouts) is made out of plastic, and still works currently in its third season. The Danfoss "proper" model costs inxs 200euro (if not more don't remember anymore!) Being not critical sensors, I can live with them failing and can buy a few more and replace at my leisure. Obvs wont do that on mission critical sensors, just saying...

Change in mask rules in the Balearic, effective from Saturday

No Stress – Wine & Prosecco
Went to a pub in Cornwall at a popular tourist area the other day. name taken at the door, you go to a table which is suitably distanced, menu can be downloaded onto your phone with a QR Code. Someone in mask takes your order for drinks and food. everyone very pleasant and all worked well. Nothing done at the bar so no congregating around there. people are out and about and obeying the rules for the most part. Clear that the younger generation are moving around in bigger pods but frankly that is to be expected IMHO. The papers don't of course highlight the vast majority who behave responsibly but to me it looks like it is working ok and people are happy to be about, being outside and being able to enjoy a pint and good pub food. Clearly a new norm but from what I can see rather than read, it is working.

We are really struggling with flights from up north, Jet 2 not flying to Nice and easyJet not starting flying until August.
Easyjet just cancelled our flights on August 1st to Naples. No explanation other than circumstances beyond our control. Had to rebook on BA which as you can imagine so close cost a fortune. Frankly I am sure that the cancellation is due to Easy cutting back so this is well in their control but try getting through to anyone to speak. Worse still if you go onto to their website there is availability the next day ie Aug 2nd at some huge price BUT if you click on the cancellation email and ask to change flight (one of the options) it shows the August 2 flight as cancelled. So either they dont want you moving to the next day - you get a free transfer meaning they cannot charge you the higher price - or it is cancelled so that when you book via the website and pay they then tell you the next day it is cancelled. Which means they have your money and good luck trying to get it back. . Bottom line I would hesitate to book any flight on easyjet right now. It may seem like you are saving money when you book but when they cancel you are left high and dry and subject to much higher prices on other airlines. I think the word is total bollox!

I’m with Porto on this, I would drive
Yep .
Don,t trivialise corvid as a slightly worse flue wiping out a few extra with preexisting conditions .
Even minor symptoms sufferers are now suffering debilitating conditions some weeks / months after treatment ....” successfully” treated at the time and discharged .

Uk airports with the likes of 100 and odd still dying / day and cites like Blackburn / Leicester flare ups .......draw you own conclusions.

imho it’s still too early to seek out crowds in the U.K. .

I usually book using Amex card.
Amex is really good at sorting this issue.
You simply log into your Amex account, find the appropriate transaction and click on it. Then after a few questions, they credit you immediately. It is then up to Easyjet to get the money from you. In my experience, they don't bother.
