Well they can't use weather as an excuse for any delays! Hope it goes smoothly. My annual service bill came with an additional E2K sting.

Ouch, that's an expensive sting! Apart from the usual work I am having the seals replaced in the 4 trim tab rams, plus some gelcoat repairs on gouges caused by a visiting sail boat last summer, and the fitting of a new Rocna anchor.... certainly hope I don't get any 'extras'!

We’ve had our boat 3 seasons now and so far I’ve yet to have an annual maintenance bill that does not end up with atleast €2k extra each year......normally associated with the volvo engine/outdrives ??

Fao the majorca people :We were in portals vells the other day and the sea weed police were in attendance ensuring that people only dropped their hook in the sand. I haven't seen them anywhere else yet, I was kind of hoping the coronavirus situation might have meant that they have more important things to focus on, but obviously not.

Ha yes! Just for clarity, I meant that I hope I don't get anything extra over this week. To expect the same over this year would be the same as watching a herd of figs fly off into the sunset!

I’ve just had a quote for 1500 Euro to replace a passarell sensor...............I’m in the wrong job !
Cassette passerelles are notorious.
Mine isn,t btw deliberately.
But mates are .....hence what iam saying .
Best gen up on the subject .
Its mostly access issues that bulks up the labour for a €10 microswitch.

2 hours labour @ 70 Euro, sensor 1,371.00 Euro, total with tax 1,873.00, it’s 5 mins to fit, it sits just below the passeralle, takes time to set up apparently.

Makes Bentley parts feel cheap :)
Guess there is not enough concerned people about with cassette or other passerelle faults to x reference parts and do a DIY fix facebook or otherwise site .Its too small the community.
eg the temp sensor on my Ferrari is exact same as a golf @£7 , or in a box with prancing horses for £140 .
Takes about 20 mins for me to fit ...inc topping up coolant .
F want 2 hrs labour at near £400 ...then tax the lot .

Its only through forums etc that stuff like this is learnt .
