CAMSO as Learner wud say
Nick, I tend to agree all the other replies, although of course the £20k is your own money and you are free to spend it on whatever you want
Boat money spend is never rational so why try to get rational now about spending money on engines?
But just as matter of interest, how many hours do the old motors havvonem?
I know i bang on about this, but form a syndicate. Own half a brand newish boat and use it every second week, instead of owning 100% of an older boat and using it...ahem.. every second week. Sell the Corniche, save the new motor 20k, and you'll have 50% of a phantom 38, 40 or 42, perhaps a 2002ish boat. I have half the new squaddie and have no interest in paying £350k for the other half, ta very much, cos I dont need or want it. You know it makes sense! Seriously, think about this, it's the way to go. All imho
