Some weeks ago it was announced that the dredging was complete so we might have to wait another generation for the next phase - correction you might ´cos I shall not be around.

Have you tested it with your own ocean going cruiser?

Yes to all three! Because of the forecast,inadvisable to launch before Wednesday, which might pose problems getting there in time ----I gotta get some practice in(musically, that is)!

We are trying to get out there on Monday. If we can get a car might drive over.

Beachgoers to Praia Dona Ana in Lagos will this week have seen much of the efforts to boost the beach’s size being in vain.

After spending much of the summer sharing the beach with machines, the 1.8 million euro investment to double its size was washed away with the heavy rains and stormy sea. Praia Dona Ana was voted the world’s best beach in 2013 by Conde Naste Traveller, and also awarded the best beach in Portugal by the Tripadvisor awards.
 
Come to sunny Galicia...although its started to rain this morning.....a glorious warm holiday weekend.This year, well almost every year the south of Spain and Portugal gets a hammering whilst Galicia suffers from more damp..

It looks as though the Algarve is back to normal after the hammering.
 
Came up the Guadiana in the dark Friday night. Got no option but to follow the marked channel, as the flashing lights blind and confuse you!
Worrying, though ,were the two Portuguese motorboats and a jetski screaming down the channel at about 20 knots!

th the amount of debris,big tree trunks and suchlike, that are in the river at the moment-----

Guadiana Bar was finished in the summer, we had plenty of clearance and suspect we would have been OK at LW. However, the bar can change quickly in bad winter weather. Don't know about Ayamonte marina but we had no problems near HW anyway with 1.5m draught.

Tom is flying back to Scotland today & back on the 4th Jan.
As to the surge. Problem fixed. At least 6 peeps lost equipment.
Probably going to be many more when others return in the spring.
We had our dehumidifier burn out. Poor old Bobbie had five electrical
items burn out. He seems to have come off worst but then he leaves everything switched on 24/7.

Boa Festa.
