The first Jester start I have missed. And the first robust weather we have had at the start - my forecast is for F5 gusting F8 from the West. At least that is according to Weatheronline.co.uk
I've got the webcam of Plymouth Sound up and the weather doesn't look too bad and the water looks quite flat.

Looks like a fairly grim start. It would be tempting to cross the start line and anchor at Cawsand for a few hours if XCWeather is anything to go by. Beating for x days to get to the continental shelf in heavy weather is going to be tiring, though at least they will be heading into improved wind direction as they go west.
