"even the Tugs slow down ! "

Ha,not sure what sort of "tugs" you have down your way but round here they would not even notice the minor little ripples generated by that light weight candyfloss confection.:)

Aluminium and Steel

Raggies don't do steel, so sorry all out..... and Broom's... sorry, too much like caravans, Atlantic's... let face it the same as Brooms

.... although certain Van der Valk are obviously super nice.. shame they are steel!

Brooms and Atlantic's alike - that is Heresy!!!!
No way, Atlantic is a very good boat and most owners of Atlantics came to them FROM Brooms. I know 'cos I sold most of them here in the UK.

Now I am stuck with the Van der Valks and Boarnstreams and again sorry, they are not all Steel.
If you want an aluminium one, we can do that.
The plus side is they then go at over 30 knots as well as maintaining all that lovely bespoke interior.
The Aluminium Van der Valks even have the option of IPS drives so they can be moored by the children to save you leaving the comfort of the saloon or your bed.:D

oops, sorry....although I did say I am opinionated, I didn't say I was right. :D

Now you say it I think did know Van der Valks were Aluminium... I get the impression that ips isn't the be all and end all of propulsion as we all initially understood... but going off track.

... Perhaps Brooms and Atlantics can be included.... they do have side decks, the are quite traditional looking....

Broom.... actually, no... just has not got that raggie appeal...

and this is the Atlantic .....mmmm does this look just a tad like the picture above. Sorry not convinced..... I'll take your word for it that they are very different... but not on the list as they fail to appeal... sorry ;)

Oh yes... any oldie Motor Yacht makes the grade...

I love these classics, I took this picture of Bounty last year as it went past Mercury... beautiful

As an ex raggie and proud to be so! I have to say there are some on here have no idea as to what a real Raggie would like in a Mobo. These above are right on the button but......... well lets just say, if the nose raises more than 3" when at cruise there is no way a raggie would appreciate it.

IMH and ex raggie Opinion.

Tom

Well as a ex-raggie myself I feel able to put this list together, I put the definitive list.... but really it is of course just work in progress as I expect everyone can add something to this list.... so here goes...

..feel free to add more

Judging by your initial selection (quite a lot of round bilge Nelson hulls I see!), and as you seem to be a chined-hull Hardy person (I maybe wrong), here's some more craft similar to your original list:
(personally - give me a Levi Speranzella II Series!)

Eastbay (various)
WhisperJet 55
Guardian 55
Hunt 50
ex RNLI vessels (various)
Pendennis 46
Skagen 50
Belliure 48
VDL Pilot 44W
Sterling yachts 43 Atlantic 43
NorEast 42
Legacy 38 Pilot Sedan
Trader 41 Sport
Rodman 1250 Sport Fisher
Cockwells 37
Spirit 38
Sciallino S34
Delphis 10
Red Bay 11m
Cygnus 33
Channel Island 32
Mitchell 31
Kingfisher 31 Sport
Kent 31
Albin 31
Rhea 900
Paragon 31
Skilso arctic 975
Harley 25FS
Orkney 24 Sea Angler

Fwiw, I can confirm that the boat discussed in this thread is regularly more appreciated by raggies, rather than moboers.
Not sure if she can qualify for something as serious as a "definitive list", though... Up to you to decide! :)
Some other examples of the same yard were shown in post #17 of the same thread.

Out of those suggested so far, imho there's no doubt that Windhorse is THE Raggie MoBo.
The fact that the Dashews called her their "unsailboat" says it all....

...as for the others... i'm getting on google images right away

..well had a look at the list... a few of these are just fishing boats..and a few are made in the states.... that is a real no no for raggies. Lets face it the states produce some dreadful sailing boats... no really, they do. Look great initially but just cannot cut it (waiting for backlash... ;) ) , therefore US build generally a raggies nightmare..... & its not about just workhorse style boats or trawler style..and certainly never something like the Rodman... & at the end of the day raggies will not have the interest to trawl through some of these lesser know Mobo's, they will just go for what they in there limited knowledge of Mobo's know and like... so probably no to all the following... sorry

Belliure 48
VDL Pilot 44W
Rodman 1250 Sport Fisher
Cockwells 37
Spirit 38
Sciallino S34
Red Bay 11m
Cygnus 33
Kingfisher 31 Sport
