the boat that got hit with the ugly stick

Re: Lunch...

jfm

you must have seen the bit "i've been sailing for 30years...." well that has gotton me used to poky / small non entertaining areas, but go anywhere capabilities....!!!! so sorry, for me a mobo priority isn't for entertaining... but that is what is fantastic about choice... every one is different. Your boat, S58, wow, what a lovely boat and a great (big!) entertaining boat, and with your lights an all... couldn't beat it. Perhaps you've more friends than me, with a boat in the SoF I am certain you have!!!!

for me....I've a SWMBO and one daughter, so a Nelson 42 will do us just fine. Just don't expect me to host many parties! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Mitchell has to be with a dark blue hull, white superstructure, lots of lovely mahogany rubbing strips on the hull, nice thick rope or heavy black gunwhale D-rubbers....ooooooooooh........!

yeah, again, not one of your most lucid moments!!! but so sad that I know where your coming from!! With a big D-rubber gunwhale you just don't care who comes alongside. Got to say blue hull on these boats does suit. But did you look at the Mitchell link, that was a special boat, very well equipped as well...

I did look at it, dissapointed it was not the traditional dark blue. And where were the mahogany rubbing strakes?

Lucid moment - I'll give myself a good talking to then, can't have that sort of behaviour here!

Re: Lunch...

Honestly, I'm not really a miserable twat, perhaps a twat, but not miserable with it! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
...Oh alright, I'll get the pringles out, but you're not bringing your whippet on board!!

If I had the money this would be the boat for me!!

Actually if I had a bit more I'd also have one with a stick and flappy things just coz I like to move without any noise except for the water on the hull.

But I'd still talk to you lot though you understand /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Gotta say, that's a beautifully drawn boat (and beautifully built too of course). Clever blend of modern and trad. Very very nice. Has a "just right" feel to the design

I enjoyed the MBY article a few months back about the 3 that did a transat (arriving Caribee with 4 teaspoons of fuel left between them- fantastic stuff!). Only disappointment was that of the 2 factory boats one was called Duke and the other was something bland, whereas it should have been "Ton" :-)
