......go to all the Sailors out there who have taken the time to complete the Consumer Survey. 70% of respondents are from sailors.

The survey will run for quite a while yet as we need more people to fill in the form.

It’s quick and easy and all you need is a mouse!/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Feel free to pass on the link.

Thanks again

Peter

I filled in online surveys before. You fill in all the details then a couple of weeks later the junkmail starts to come through the door.
I've used a couple of companies on the list before. Had brilliant sevice and backup, can't fault them, but I don't want anymore rubbish in the post.

I can assure you you won't get it, I hate junk mail too so it's the last thing I'm going to do my members.

Please fill it in if you get the chnace and uncheck the box at the bottom if you don't want to be notified of the results.

Also SPAM is illegal as of today. I'm trying to offer a service that people can benefit from not get anoyed with.

Best regards

Peter

Peter. It might help your credibility if you were to also publish your surname on the click-through from PGD. Me, I do not as I wish to remain a private individual. I looked at your registration form and noted that you you want a whole bucket full of personal information. Tell us who you are and maybe, we will tell you something about ourselves.

Well, I've been an looked at it again, and filled it in, but what I've filled in doesn't represent my views. I had no opportunity to be neutral, just to agree or disagree more or less strongly.

As to if Chandlers provide good stock or advice - it varies widely. As do warranties provided. Some are crap, others like my boat (Regal) are superb and honoured impressively. For most of the questions, I just wanted to leave them blank, or make them specific to various organisations or companies

Far too general to answer honestly

Do YBW realise you've got a link to their website that could mislead people into thinking that they are an 'associate' of yours?

Uhhm! you've got a link on your post to your website. Kim has always asked that anyone that has a link, reciprocates with a link back here?

Yes they do, God, sorry I mean Kim asked for the link, they are under the Links section, the Affiliates section will come in at the top and there is an announcement comming in January about that.

Hope that helps

Hi, with respect to the Neutral bit, the reason there is no neutral option is to stop something called middleisum ! if you have a scale of say 1-5, people will always pick 3 and the survey results look poor, it's an attempt to avoid being average.

Similarly the use of drop down boxes was to make it easy for people to complete and easy to analyse. Computers can't accurately process general views people have, the survey then becomes my view on what I think you mean , subjective rather than actual. - if you follow me.

What I'm after is yours and others experience, we can then look at the results by type of boater, region etc

hope that helps

The registration form traps just the basics and is there if I ever need to come back to you about a vote. Some companies have already taken the site the wrong way, while other have embraced it an added themselves to the database.

It is not public information, nor will it be passed onto 3rd parties. In addition I will not fill your inbox with newsletters. Since I started this some months back I have only contacted registered users twice.

I understand you wanting to remain a private individual, I'll see what I can do.

Regards

Peter Davey
