Has anyone used this material? I'm considering decking the cockpit on my Sessa 35. Is this a messy job? How did it cope with curves?

Thanks

Did it about three years ago. It is just about DIY, but requires careful planning. Curves are made up by gluing 'planks' with no caulking together to make a wide enough piece, then cutting to shape. You also need a lot of weights (lead ingots, preferably) to hold it down while the adhesive cures.

TekDek is great stuff to lay. But do make sure it is stuck down properly. Otherwise after a couple of years water might get under it. If you need a pro to lay it, I know a guy who does it. Send me an email I will get in touch with him for you. clive@hook1722.fsnet.co.uk

What is it like to bare feet? I'm habitually barefoot aboard and like my cockpit carpets but they are getting shabby and SWMBO is attracted to teak/TekDek (if she doesn't have to lay the stuff). Might up the value too, if Brown loses the plot and taxes rocket.
