So I walked a 6.3 km round trip at a brisk pace and wide step (for the state of my knee re-education) all for a fish burger at an American corporation with a franchise model....was it worth it ?...I think I earned it
I and friends walked 7.3 miles this morning. Polesden Lacy, West Humble and Ranmore. Stopped halfway round for a drknk and choc bar that we all carry with us.
Variety of terrain from flat to steep hills so a good work out.

We do regular long rugged walks....but it’s all pretty wet at the moment and is actually raining right now....it doesn’t stop the wife....who puts in way way more mileage than me. In fact, often I wound be just as happy exercising on a machine in front of the telly

Some years ago the wife and i anchored off a beach in the north of Ria Vigo. We got the dinghy going and headed onto the beach to walk our dogs. It was earlyand the beach was quiet. We walked off into the forest for about an hour. We met some lovely Spanish folk who made a big fuss of the dogs. On returning to the beach we realised that we had joined the beach much further along. The sign (in English and Spanish) said "Nudista.. no clothes beyond this point". I guess we could have walked all the way back but we were knackered so we stripped off and "naked dog walked" back along the beach to the dinghy. It was then that we met the (now naked) people from the forest who made and even bigger fuss of the dogs. It was all very none English and I wasn't sure where I was supposed to look!
Since then I have been a lot less prudish about the whole thing.
The bit that was annoying was that while I was walking to the dinghy, dog lead in one hand, clothes in the other, the wife took the opportunity to take photos of my ghostly white bum and posted them on Facebook. How i laughed!

I have the misfortune of remembering a German sailor proceeding through the start line at the Laser Nationals and therefore in plain sight of 200 odd boats
I have no objection at all to folk "doing their thing", but right time right place please!

Hereabouts, boating , we too have a few who are clearly exhibitionists...borderline "flashers" imho...in entirely inappropriate settings/circumstances, and difficult to avoid.

I have no objection to anyone discreetely naked sunbathing, but as in the post above, we have noticed some single men on a nudist beach straying as close as they can to the families with children who are on the non nudist beach, have to agree that some are flashers or worse peados in the making!

Can we please steer the conversation away from the beach....to those creepy yotties anchored a little off shore

By way of warning I recall there is such a beach just along from Dartmouth heading west which is quite pleasant anchoring for a lunch stop /for paddle boarding -from what we could tell it’s divided invisibly down the centre for each preference but not certain how the line is drawn but clothed paddle boarders might be in for a surprise when they land. It looked quite inaccessible from the land so maybe the nudists have a trek to reach the site.

There is a similar section of beach just to the East of the entrance to Brighton marina.

You think you are alone....but what about all those poor drone pilots ?
We'll they can have a look as far as it concerns me. I don't have any parts that others don't have. Just an ordinairy guy. Come to think of it: it is more a matter of politeness not to shock other crew wich didnt ask for the view.

Quite so. We were all made to one of two drawings - albeit with rather large manufacturing tolerances.

Why not ? If it's private, warm enough ,no need to flash .....no need to look
Interestingly, I've always been of the view that we were far too prudish about nudity in the UK and we could learn a lot from the Scandinavians, and be much more "body positive". However on a recent "safeguarding in sport" course the topic of nudity in communal changing areas came up (not by me) and there was a feeling from the tutor that whilst the body positive message was valid there were issues where the "nothing to be ashamed of" "we are all the same under our clothes" etc messages were an easy way for people with less wholesome approaches to nudity to justify it.

We weren't discussing this in terms of anchoring on deck, but club changing rooms, people getting changed at cars etc were areas where concern was expressed. There may be no need to look - but the difference between someone flashing a person who did not wish to see it and a voyeur seeing something the other party did not intend to expose is a fine line.

My mother was Swedish, so kit off at the slightest opportunity (in my teenage years in the early evening my father almost always handed me a G&T and told me to take it to my mum in her bath, whereupon I'd sit down and chat with her about the day, both of us entirely unembarrassed. So I feel that nudity is a 'someone else's problem' not mine.

However, good manners counts and I'm more circumspect now but I still feel that the prudes are the ones with the mental health issues; if you turn your binoculars into my cockpit, it's your lookout.

Here maybe is a reassuring thought. I think all of us feel priority 1 sailing, 2 anchoring, 3 sunbathing, 4 naked, in the odd event of our climate making that possible. Nudist have nudity as prio 1. Those pitiable shorefolks have to go to specific beaches. But these attract perverts. ( perversity often grows from extreme prudity by the way).
The chances of a pervert ging sailing to see nudists seem to be very small imho.
So thank god for our boats!

Though I wouldn’t dream of it in my usual sailing area, I’m not prudish about it. Getting your kit off in the Solent is probably child abuse, that’s all. On a slightly different note, a few years back, we, that is my sailing partner not my wife, and myself, had established a substantial lead in a club race off the Bouldnor shore, Yarmouth. Being first at a tidal gate had given us a whole leg. There was a large boat anchored quite near no.4, which we were rounding. As we went round, a group of young ladies on deck gave us a cheer, at which point we ‘noticed’ that they were topless🤣 They must have taken us for much younger gentlemen.
