Your cruising area sounds terrible. Why don't you leave your boat at home, come out to western Canada, and charter a boat here ? A lot cheaper than in the U.K., and the Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound are, without doubt, the best cruising grounds in the world. At least Captain Vancouver thought so !

Ah but you've got it all wrong. My crusing ground is perfect, so good that it's difficult to venture further a field for summer hols.
