When we refilled with diesel, I spilt some Starbrite Bio Diesel additive on the transom. This has left brown stains.

Have tried:
Acetone
Diesel (!)
WD-40 (had a WD-40 spillage so thought to try it)
Starbrite hull cleaner
Starbrite rust stain remover

No luck.

Any suggestions?

Thje problem with such fluids - they have solvents and various 'active' ingredients that can be quite aggressive / persistent.

The suggestion to try polishing out may be answer ... I have to admit that I have yet to find an effective cleaner for them.

Cellulose thinners, Hammerite thinners or brake cleaner? Lidl brush cleaner seems to get most things off. No idea of the effect on gelcoat etc; as they say, try an inconspicuous area first.

Jif (Cif these days 🙄) and elbow grease seems to be working. I know one shouldn't use Jif as it's got ammonia in it, but she's 35 years old and seen a lot already. Elbow grease and a good rinse afterwards.

Laundry liquid mixed with warm water . Biological type if you have it. Scrub with a brush or cloth.
You probably have this at home so no harm trying.
