The people on that boat alongside must be very relieved that the dredger’s course was not two degrees more to starboard

I recall being at anchor in Tees Bay on a 110,000 DWT tanker when the second mate sounded 5 Blasts on the 12/4 morning watch, waking us all up.
A German coaster missed our stern by yards!
